Hookminer! (WIP)
Mining with timing! Aim your hook to the treasure and try to rack up a high score!
CONTROLS: Arrow keys to navigate the menu, Z to start and select options in the menu, X to throw your hook.
In the game, the hook will swing from side to side. Press X to launch your hook based on where the hook is currently swinging. Try to aim your hook at treasure like gold, diamonds and rubies, while avoiding junk like rocks, boulders and bones!
This is a demake of an old flash game "Goldminer" made by GameRival in 2003, this project aims to recreate that game's mechanics and feel from the ground up in Pico-8.
The game is in a playable state in an arcade manner, though it's still in the early stages of development. A lot of ideas in progress are present in the build, like the cosmetic shop, power-up shop and more.

KNOWN ISSUES:
- Level design places objects randomly, which leads to overlapping items, nonsensical placements, and unfair losing conditions.
PLANNED FEATURES:
- Implement the item shop
- Implement the cosmetic shop
- Implement more level items ( More obstacles, dynamic obstacles, riskier rewards, etc)
- Music, and more sound effects
- Visual improvements
